New book for March!

Jim the Boy by Tony Earley. This is the” if all of Rochester Read the same book…” selection.

The author will be in town March 25 – 27th. There will be lots of community events. There is a readers guide on the Writers and Books website. In Fact, check out Writers and Books (www.wab.org) for the calendar of events for this book. They also have the books available at a discounted price. "Including Alice's Misadventures Underground." :)

Jim the Boy was an easy read. I think that it's an appropriate book for younger readers. The story takes place during the depression in North Carolina. It has a few uplifting parts as well as depressing. The story leaves off abruptly and may have a sequel in the future.
