Jim the Boy by Tony Earley. This is the” if all of Rochester Read the same book…” selection.
The author will be in town March 25 – 27th. There will be lots of community events. There is a readers guide on the Writers and Books website. Jim the Boy was an easy read. I think that it's an appropriate book for younger readers. The story takes place during the depression in North Carolina. It has a few uplifting parts as well as depressing. The story leaves off abruptly and may have a sequel in the future.
